Stamped concrete needs the pressure dialled back

Decorative and sealed surfaces each behave differently. Blowing out a stamped pattern is expensive to fix and entirely avoidable.
Your patio is probably the most varied surface on the property. Stamped concrete, travertine, flagstone, pavers and sealed decorative work all respond differently, and the right pressure for one will ruin another.

Sealed and stamped surfaces

Decorative concrete has a sealer on top and a textured pattern underneath. Too much pressure clouds the sealer, lifts it in sheets, or erodes the high points of the pattern. We test an inconspicuous area first and work up, never down.

Travertine and natural stone

Softer than it looks and prone to pitting under a narrow tip. Low pressure and the right detergent lift the organic staining without opening up the surface.

Around the pool

We’re careful about what goes in the water and about the coping and tile line. Everything is rinsed away from the pool, and we’ll let you know if anything needs rebalancing afterward.

Common questions

Before you book

My patio is sealed. Can you still clean it?
Yes, with pressure reduced accordingly. We’ll also tell you honestly if the sealer is already failing and due to be stripped and redone — that’s a different job.
Usually, yes. Mention it when you book so we allow time.
